The course builder
A course is a flowchart, so a fail can send someone back.
Add video modules, quizzes, PDF tasks and upload tasks, then draw the arrows between them. A quiz can send people who pass one way and people who don’t to a refresher first.
The studio’s onboarding course: orientation videos, a standards quiz with a refresher on fail, then a marked-up floor plan and a recorded walkthrough.
Video courses
Drop in a whole course as a folder (videos up to 20 GB each), add single videos, or import from your studio’s Vimeo.
Real work, handed in
PDF tasks hand out a drawing to mark up; upload tasks collect files. Every hand-in goes to a reviewer to approve or send back.
Onboarding on autopilot
Mark an onboarding course for new starters and everyone hired is given it as soon as their login exists.
Quizzes
Quizzes with rules, or straight from Google Forms.
Set a time limit, a pass mark and the number of attempts, and shuffle the questions. Already have a Google Forms quiz? Import it with its answer key and pictures, and run the import again whenever the form changes.
Ten minutes, 75% to pass and three attempts, with the first of four questions.
My Training
Everyone knows what’s next, and when they’ll do it.
My Training lists each person’s courses with their progress, due date and priority. Steps open in order, chapters play in order and remember where you stopped, and the hand-in waits until the videos are watched.
A professional development course part-way through its first chapter, with the egress diagram to hand in.
- Medium priority keeps a reminder on the dashboard; High priority asks the person to book a time and reminds them before it.
- New courses and reviews arrive on the dashboard, in chat and by email, as the studio chooses.
Following up
Hand-ins to review, sessions booked and sessions missed.
The overview puts the work waiting for you beside every booked session, and a grid of everyone against every course. Approve a hand-in or send it back with a note; the answer goes to the person in chat.
Two hand-ins to review, upcoming and missed sessions for the High-priority fire safety course, and the team’s progress.
Hiring
Test a candidate before they start.
Send a candidate link for any quiz. Candidates sit it with just their name and email, under your studio’s name and logo, and the ones who pass can be added as staff in one step.
Four graduate and student candidates who sat the studio standards check; three passed.
