Files & TrackerPlus Drive
Every project’s files. On every desk.
One drive for the studio, with a folder linked to each project. It opens in the browser, in File Explorer and in Finder, and it knows who is on which job.
- A folder per project
- Drive on every computer
- Permissions
- Versions
- Search inside PDFs
- Share links

One drive for the studio
The project folder is part of the project.
Link a folder to a project and it follows the project everywhere: its whale icon on the Projects page, its own Files button, and the permissions of the people working on it. Folder templates set up a new project the way your studio files things.

Search
Find the word, not only the file name.
Search reads the text inside every PDF as well as file and folder names, across Studio and every project you can open. A BAL rating in a consultant’s report or a detail on a construction set is a few letters away.
Two matches for BAL: one in the construction set’s drawing notes, one in the client brief, each with the words around it.
TrackerPlus Drive
On every computer, like the drive you know.
TrackerPlus Drive puts the same folders in File Explorer on Windows and Finder on a Mac, so Revit, AutoCAD and Office save straight into the project.
- Changes made on the website reach each computer within seconds, and both versions are kept if two people edit at once.
- The desktop app updates itself when nobody is using it, and an out-of-date computer pauses rather than syncing badly.
- When someone leaves, their computers can delete their TrackerPlus Drive files.
For Windows or For Mac opens the set-up steps for that computer; below are the computers connected to this login.
Permissions
Access that follows the work.
Decide once what each role reaches. Members see the folders of the projects they are assigned to, and access moves as their tasks do. Folder rules and single-folder exceptions cover HR, accounts and anything else that needs its own rule.
The studio policy: admins and team leaders reach every project, members only the projects they’re on.
- Files starts owners-only, so imported folders stay private until you release them to the team.
- The same rules apply in the browser, in TrackerPlus Drive and on the phone.
Versions and history
Nothing is overwritten. Nothing is lost.
Uploading a file with the same name saves a new version. Earlier versions stay, with who uploaded them and when.
- Restore an older version as the newest one, without losing anything in between.
- Lock a file while you work on it; an activity log shows every upload, download, move and delete.
- Deleted files and folders wait in a 30-day recycle bin.

Sharing
Send a link, not an attachment.
Share a file or folder with anyone, with no login needed, or share a project folder into the client, consultant and contractor portals.
- Passwords, expiry dates, download limits and view-only links; upload links collect files from outside.
- See how often each link has been opened and downloaded, and turn it off in one click.
- Studio rules can require a password on every link, or switch links off altogether.

Moving in
Already on Dropbox? Bring it across.
Import from Dropbox
Copy a project’s Dropbox folder in, sub-folders included. Nothing is overwritten and it is safe to run again.
Match project folders
TrackerPlus suggests the folder for every project at once, so imported folders link to the right jobs.
Kept safe
Each studio’s files are encrypted with their own key, checked against a fingerprint and copied to a second location.
