Total transparency. Zero exposure.
Give every client a read-only view of the studio — live progress, their fee, what's invoiced and outstanding, Xero invoices and the drawings you've published for review. Margins, staff cost and rates aren't hidden by a toggle; a client's login simply can't reach them.

One client. One login. Their numbers, not yours.
Every figure the portal shows passes through one rule that limits each client to their own data, and it reads the same fee, invoiced and uninvoiced totals your billing report produces — so the studio and the client can never see two different numbers. A login with several clients gets a switcher, and the client they pick follows them everywhere.
- One source: the client view reads the studio’s own billing figures
- Logins with several clients pick one — or view them all at once
- Sorted by status, archived work set aside — exactly like the studio sees it

Invoices
Harbourpoint Devs · Riverside House
Invoices straight from Xero — no more re-sends.
Chasing PDFs by email is a tax on both of you. The portal lists the client's own Xero invoices with a status read live from Xero — Paid, Due, Overdue or Voided — and lets them pull the PDF themselves, with a check that ties each invoice to the client who owns it so nobody can reach another client's.
- Statuses come straight from Xero, never hand-set — they can’t go stale
- Self-serve PDF download straight from the client’s own invoice
- A check ties every document to the client who owns it
Review drawings in context — not in a thread.
When a client marks up a JPG and replies in an email, context is lost by the next revision. Instead they review the drawing sets you've explicitly published as client work in progress (WIP) — comment in context, with an unread count on what's new — and a single permission check makes sure only WIP sets on their own projects are ever reachable.
- Only sets you publish as client WIP appear — nothing internal
- Unread counts show what changed since they last looked
- One permission check decides what a client can open — nothing else can
Riverside House
One rule, one check — nothing to forget.
Leakage doesn't happen when there's nothing to leak. Every number passes through one rule that limits each client to their own data, every drawing through a single permission check — both enforced on our servers. The portal even reuses the exact same billing page as staff, just view-only, so the figures physically can't drift.
